March Book Club: Potluck & Nonfiction Discussion

Our March Book Club will be a potluck gathering hosted by Courtney as we discuss our nonfiction pick, The Small and the Mighty by Sharon McMahon - an inspiring look at history though the eyes or ordinary people who made edxtraordinary impacts.

In The Small and the Mighty, McMahon shines a light on twelve unsung Americans whose courage and perserverance shaped the course of U.S. history. Instead of focusing on well-known presidents and political figures, she tells the stories of everyday individuals - a formerly enslaved mother fighting to reunite with her child, a young boy navigating life in a World War II incarceration camp, advocates for justice and education, and ordinary citizans who made lasting change through quiet bravery.
